This Privacy Policy describes how Travmo (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this policy alongside our Terms of Service.
1. Who we are
Travmo is operated in connection with the Travmo travel companion product. For privacy requests, email support@travmo.in.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- Account and profile data — such as name, email address, authentication identifiers, profile details you choose to add, and preferences.
- Trip and planning content — If you share trip with Friends: itineraries, destinations, notes, lists, bookings or links you save, and similar content you create in the app.
- Memories and media — Stays on local storage:photos, captions, albums, or other materials you upload or generate through memory features, subject to your choices and device permissions.
- Location-related information — Just for planning:where you allow it, approximate or precise location from your device to support maps, travel mode, and place-based features. You can change permissions in your device settings.
- Device and technical data — device type, operating system, app version, language, diagnostic logs, and identifiers needed for security, analytics, and service delivery.
- Usage data — how you interact with features (for example screens viewed or actions taken) to improve performance and usability.
- Communications — messages you send to us (support, feedback) and related metadata.
- Payment-related data — if we offer purchases or subscriptions, payment processing is handled by third-party providers; we generally receive limited transaction or entitlement information, not full card numbers.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Create and manage your account and sync content across devices where supported;
- Personalise your experience (for example trip types, recommendations, or content you opt into);
- Operate safety, security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection;
- Respond to support requests and communicate service-related notices;
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms;
- Analyse usage in aggregate or de-identified form to guide product decisions.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
If laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of: performance of a contract, legitimate interests (running and securing the Services, improving the product), consent (where required for optional processing such as certain marketing or non-essential cookies), and legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers who assist us (for example cloud hosting, authentication, maps or places APIs, analytics, customer support tools, email delivery), bound by contractual obligations;

Some providers may process data in countries other than your own. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards where required by law.

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account or certain data subject to applicable law and technical constraints.

We implement technical and organisational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these rights, contact support@travmo.in. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority where applicable.
9. Children
The Services are not directed at children under the age where parental consent is required in their jurisdiction. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
10. Third-party links and services
The Services may link to third-party sites or integrate third-party features. Their practices are governed by their own policies. Apple’s App Store terms and privacy practices apply when you download or use the iOS app through Apple.
11. India
If you are in India, applicable data protection laws (including developments such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and rules) may grant you additional rights or impose requirements on us. We aim to honour applicable obligations and respond to verified requests.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
